You are currently viewing The Wages of Wins Journal, the blog maintained by the authors – David Berri, Martin Schmidt, and Stacey Brook — of The Wages of Wins. Our purpose in writing the book – as well as maintaining this journal – is to take our research from academic journals to a general audience. As three professors of economics we have published numerous articles examining the economics of sports. The book and journal reviews and builds upon this work, and hopefully, increases the general interest people have in both economics and sports.
We also have a website for the book. At our website you can find such items as the columns we have written for The New York Times, reviews of our book that have appeared The New Yorker, the New York Times, and Sports Illustrated.com, and other items of interest.
